Are you feeling isolated and anxious? Here are my 3 top tips for surviving COVID-19:
1. Wash your hands like you have O.C.D..
It’s recommended that you sing “Happy Birthday” twice every time you clean them. Singing out also boosts your endorphins, so you’ll feel happier as you scrub.
2. Drink plenty of water and choose to ingest healthy foods. Since we are what we eat, it’s especially important right now to be mindful about what we put in our mouths.
The Chinese eat bats the way that Americans consume cows, pigs, lambs, turkeys and chickens. If you’d like to find out more about what you are ingesting from America’s Factory Farms, check out the documentary, “Food Inc.” at online sites like Netflix.
I am a vegan out of my love for animals. I know this is a personal choice. If you are considering checking out veganism, there’s no time like the present! I really appreciated Dr. Michael Greger’s inspiring and informative book, “How Not to Die.”
3. Keep exercising, even though the gym is closed. Healthy blood flow is imperative for your wellness and longevity. Mayo Clinic’s 2-month LifeBike study shows that LifeBiking increases blood flow to your brain and body by 96%. LifeBiking is also a great way to easily and conveniently boost your mood and de-stress right at home, during these discombobulating times.
Do you miss exercising with the group energy of the gym? After my years on Broadway, I became a Master Trainer for Town Sports International for several years in NYC.
I am happy to host a group LifeBike® (with optional free weights) class on Facebook Live or Zoom! Please call or text me with times that will work for you.
